Wushu Holiday Training Camp – December 2008

Hello fellow Wushu-ers!

The Wushu Camp has just ended. It is a bit sad that many of you couldn’t join us. It was really fun and we learn a lot, even though it was a bit tiring . But I’m sure that those who came down for all the 5 days have no regrets at all. We had very cute lil’ kids who came to practise with us too and they were so much fun, not to mention so energetic. Thanks to Zhuang lao shi and Zhou lao shi for this wonderful camp! Hopefully we can have another camp again some time next year, and that more of you will join us!

ICN 2008 Wushu supper

KEVII Wushu IVP team ranked 4th!

For this year’s IVP competition, KEVII Wushu sent an all-girls team. Despite all the hard and long trainings, unfortunately they didn’t clinch the first prize. But the girls did an admirable performance that day. It’s not going to stop KEVII Wushu from climbing to greater heights, right! We’ll train and improve our skills and come back again in next year’s IVP.

*clap* *clap* *clap* ICN 2008 was quite successful for Wushu, despite some minor hiccups! Let’s give a round of applause to all the performers and a big thank you to all those who came down to support us. Even though we started practising late, we all managed to pull off a nice show and be the highlight of ICN again. Now let the pictures do the talking!

IVP 2008 upcoming

While the hype is up about ICN tomorrow, let’s not forget that KEVII Wushu is also sending an all-girls team to compete in IVP 2008 (Inter-Varsity Competition). Last year we were ranked 3rd in the traditional group fist. Let’s hope that with so much practice that the team has been going through lately, we’ll do a better job this year! The competition takes place at ITE McPherson this Saturday 18th in the afternoon. Exact time to be announced later. So do keep your Saturday afternoon free to come and support our KEVII Wushu IVP team! We need everyone’s support to bring KEVII Wushu to greater heights!

ICN 2008 upcoming!

These few days KEVII Wushu has been busy preparing for the upcoming Internal Cultural Night performance on Thursday 16th of this week to be held in the Communal Hall of KEVII. This year, the juniors will be performing basics and a new routine taught by Zhuang lao shi, Wu duan Quan. Seniors will be displaying some interesting fights and finally our IVP girls will showcase part of their competition routine. Our Captain Ming Zhou and Kan foong will be trying their newly-learnt butterfly twists for the first time onstage too So do come to watch!

Now let’s see some pictures as testimony to how hard we are training for ICN 2008 =p

Hello Wushu-ers!

Finally this website can officiallly be declared open ^ ^. We have moved all the old blog posts from the blogspot address to their new home here. We will try and keep this blog updated as far as possible . Hopefully it will also help us to publicize our group and recruit more new members next year, as they gain insights on how our trainings are like and what activities we do.

Some notes though:

1. This blog won’t have any tagboard like the previous blogspot one as it seems that WordPress doesn’t allow chatboxes to be implemented :S But, fret not, if you have anything to say, just use the Comments function below the posts freely ok! All Wushu members are highly welcomed to contribute to the blog

2. Publicize the website to all of your friends in KEVII Wushu and beyond!
